Perfection is a Long Process...

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, May 28, 2009 7 comments
As we all know, nobody is perfect in this world. Everyone commit mistakes and deserve a second chance. We cannot judge people or someone with one mistake she/he made be it intentional or by accident. We knew ourselves better that others, so before we judge someone, we should look at ourselves first and study whether we haven't done something wrong or not. More or less you will find yourself guilty of something. I, for one is not perfect; everyday I am trying not to offend God and fellowmen in everything I do, be it big or small, in words or in deeds. It is not easy because we are only human, capable of committing sin or mistake. The only One who is capable of judging is Jesus, whom we know is the Only Perfect Person who has ever walked on this very earth. I am a firm believer of "The more you know yourself, the less you criticize or judge others". It is my hope and prayer that we ponder this saying and strive to perfect ourselves line upon line precept upon precept and one step at a time. And through Jesus "Atonement", everything is possible. For He Himself has said: "Be ye therefore is perfect, even as our Father (God) who is in heaven is perfect".

Father and Son's Night Out!

Posted by Cecile at Wednesday, May 27, 2009 1 comments
It is father and son night out today, so hubby and son went to see Star Wars at movie theater today. They want me to join them but I decided to stay home watch T.V., blog and grab opps. I am glad they went without me. Oh by the way, we sold our car today, yehey! I hope when we get to Texas, we will be able to find the truck we both like. We need at least two cars if we will both go to work. I think I need to work for at least a year before going back to school. I need to be a Texas resident for at least one year before I can go back to college or else I will pay out of state college tuition which is more than we can afford. I think I can wait.

Will Miss Our Car...

Posted by Cecile at Tuesday, May 26, 2009 4 comments
Five more days and we are off to Texas. I am still here busy packing things up; good thing that I still managed to grab opps. I am now trying to get some job done here by visiting and a little blog hopping before my hubby gets back from Petersburg where he will meet one of those buyers who wanted to buy our car (Honda Element). Yup, we are trying to sell one of our car and replace it with a truck. I cannot believe it! I started missing the car already. Jacob didn't want us to sell it first, but now I am the one who wouldn't want to sell it. We only have this car for a year; it isn't that nice looking car, but it is roomy and that is what I like about it. Oh well, I am sure I'll get over this feeling. Got to go now, ned to visit your blogs, guys! Oh by the way, we will be on the road to Texas on Monday. Texas, here we come...Yeeehaaahhh!

The Spirit is My Friend
by: Jill Tew

When I feel the Holy Ghost, I feel good inside.
I want to do what Jesus did and always choose the right.
The Spirit helps me know what I should and shouldn't do,
And can help me understand that the Book of Mormon is true.
The Holy Ghost can comfort me when I am feeling sad,
And when I feel the peace He brings, it helps me to feel glad.
I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ His Son.
The Holy Ghost can help me to obey and follow Them.

Busy even on Memorial Day...

Posted by Cecile at Monday, May 25, 2009 6 comments
We planned of going to Virginia Beach today, but we decided to stay home since my brother in law and his son were here. We just went to went to the playground played with the kids, then to Bass Pro shop, and lunch at McDonalds. It was still a nice Memorial Day celebration especially for the Jacob and Cody since this will be the second to the last day they'd spend time together because next week, we will be on our way to Texas. They will be here this weekend to help us out a little bit with loading of stuffs in the truck and of course, time with us. Looking forward to seeing Tara and Grant, too! I have to sign off for now; need to do more packing and maybe go to the swimming pool later after taking a nap.
Sorry guys, for not being able to visit you, been busy and will be probably busy for the next two weeks or so; but will try to drop EC and messages if time permits me. Have a nice Memorial Day, everyone! And thanks for stopping by!
Going to Virginia Beach is scheduled on Wednesday just to drop the Balikbayan boxes at Forex; no swimming on the beach this time...maybe just a little walk and a nice lunch at Filipino resto.

Good News...

I just want to share with you friends our happiness because finally, Matt got a job from T.I. (Texas Instruments), where used to work before we moved here in Virginia. I Knew all along that we will be able to get a job again, and the bonus is it in Texas! What a blessing God has given us! He always watches over us and knows when is the best time to give the blessings he promised us. It was funny because I really want us to move, but I feel like it is unfair that even though we have the means to pay a mortgage, because we have no job, we are being denied if buying a house. Anyway, the wait it is over now. And we are all excited to move. The thing is, T.I. wants Matt to be there in two weeks. How in the world we will going to move ourselves and stuffs for that short period of time? We want to sell some of the furniture or if not possible, donate them to salvation army. Oh boy, today is the beginning of my busy days packing stuffs and dropping things we no longer need at Goodwill. To all those who prayed for us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Blockbuster is Simply the Best!

Posted by Cecile at Wednesday, May 20, 2009 2 comments
One of my family's favorite pastime is to watch movie. My husband and I used to go to a movie house at least twice a month. But when our son was born, our movie date stopped. And we haven't been to a movie house for nearly three years. Good thing there is a way we can watch movie and that is through renting a movie in one of the kiosk in the grocery stores. But the problem is, the movie is only good for one day. So once we got from the vending machine, we need to watch it right away. There were times that we forgot that it is already due. We were charged for returning it late. We got no choice but pay the late fee. Good thing there is a BLOCKBUSTER movie rental where we can rent a movie online, then return it conveniently by mailing them or return it at the participating Blockbuster store without fee or at a discounted movie rentals. Absolutely free of charge when it was returned late. I like that there is no extra fee on Blue Ray movie that is rented online. Renting movie is never been easier with their online way of choosing the movie you want to watch. You just add the movies on the que they will delivered it to you by mail within 1-2 business day. Isn't it great? You would love the special offer they give to the members where you will receive emails for exclusive deals and even discounts that you can use in store or online. Pretty good deal, I think. We will definitely switch to Blockbuster once we get settled in our new place soon.

Charter's Phatband, Fastest in the U.S.

Posted by Cecile at Tuesday, May 19, 2009 2 comments
If you will ask me what I want right now when it comes to internet connection, I will answer you right away by saying faster internet connection. Why? As a blogger, I do a lot of things on my computer all at the same time. And as a full time mother, I am busy doing household shores and taking care of my husband and son's need. I need a faster internet connection so I can finish my computer job and all my tasks at the end of the day. Once I seat on the computer, the job is never ending, from checking emails, dropping entrecard, visiting blogs, grabbing an opportuny and writing reviews, and paying bills. Having faster internet connection lessens my time spends in front of the computer and more time with my family.

Ultra60small

It is good to know that Charter gives us a way where we can do multi tasking. Do you know that Charter’s Ultra60 Mbps service is the fastest internet speed in the St. Louis market? Why, Because it is 3x faster than other phone company like DSL Internet. And it is the Charter's first of the Phatband speeds. Imagine having to enjoy watching games, movies without annoying lagging! My husband will be very happy being able to enjoy his favorite shows and ball games. That means, with Phatband Speed, there will be no slow internet connection, more job to be done, and no time wasted. So, what are you waiting for? Check Ultra60 Information Page and learn about their special offers. You can also learn from others testimony about Phatband Speed by following them on Charter’s Twitter Feed.

Rentals and Vacation

Posted by Cecile at Monday, May 18, 2009 3 comments
Just recently, my family and I went for our annual vacation. It was supposed to be a summer vacation, but we decided to do it on spring time where hotels offer great discount on room accommodations. One more thing is that we wanted a quiet, not crowded, yet exciting vacation for us. And well got what we so desire and have had so much fun. It was a blast! We have book room reservation in one of the hotel providers online. Our three days beach vacation only costs us $300; considering it was a suite with all the amenities such as, inside pool, spa, sauna, continental breakfast and good in room service. We also have our own living room, dining/kitchen and a balcony! But if you are looking for something special like a romantic getaway or a quiet hideaway, you can look online; For Bed and Breakfast. They have great list of B and B all over the world. You can choose from homestays, country inns, urban bed and breakfasts, guest houses, lodges, cabins, historic hotels, small resorts, guest ranches, farmhouse accommodations, and working farm and ranch vacations. If you are looking by location, amenities, online bookings, recipes, special packages, last-minute availability, they got you cover. Great news, they also accept gift card certificates. What about Home Exchange where you can look into exchanging vacation time at your home with the home of someone in a destination that you want to visit. They have 27,000 listings of home. All you have to do is go to their website, pick a country of your choice, browse the listing and them contact the member. Right now, they have special price offer of $99.95 unlimited 1 year membership. Or you can try to go Inn Site, where you can find Bed and Breakfast throughout United States and around the world. Whether it's for vacation accommodation or business travel, a bed and breakfast offers unique hospitality unlike any of the chain hotels. InnSite offers a one-stop guide to accomodation in over 50 countries. So what are you waiting for, if you are bored with hotel accommodations, visit these websites and find out which one best suit you taste. I would like to spend our anniversary on Bed and Breakfast someday with my husband.

Real Property Management

Posted by Cecile at Friday, May 15, 2009 1 comments
When my husband lost his job a year and a half ago in Texas, we didn't plan to sell our house. It never even crossed in our minds that we will have to move. We did extensive renovation because we thought we would retire there. So, when he got a job offer, we were turned into selling it or have it rented. We have a neighbor who offered to manage it for us while we are away, but it would be very hard for us. Anyway, if you own a house, apartment complex or any residential place, and tired of managing it yourself, why not check RPMMidwest.com; they do Real Property Management all over the country. With their well-trained professional managers, you can be sure that your property/ties will be taken care of or well maintained. And you don't have to worry wherever you maybe. These are the services they offer: Tenant Placement, Affordable Management fees with NO Leasing fees, Credit and Multi-State Criminal Background Screening, Regular Property Inspections, Accounting Project Management, Monthly Financial Reporting to Owners available online 24/7, Maintenance Services, and Collections Evictions/Legal. So, check them out for more information if you are interested.

My Mother's Day Celebration Yesterday...

Posted by Cecile at Sunday, May 10, 2009 13 comments
Our Mother's Day celebration was done yesterday when we went to Outer Banks, North Carolina. It was my hubby's treat for me. He took me at a Sea food Restaurant there for lunch where I ordered Grilled Bluefish with Fruit Salsa and Seasoned Rice. Today, we will be going to church and have a long nap in the afternoon...that for me is a celebration.

Grilled Bluefisn

Jake's Fish Soup

On the other hand, my son, woke me up this morning with a Mother's Day card, hug and kiss. Matt and Jake bought me a tote, t-shirt, bracelet, a handmade bath soap, and an incense. I love all of these gifts!

Matt's Taco

Anyway, thanks for all who greet me for Mother's Day...and hope you all guys, have a "wonderful celebration" today... Happy Mother's Day, again my ladies friends :-)!

First of all, let me greet you, Moms and Friends out there, a Happy Mother's Day!

mommy moments

While browsing to Jake's album, I can't help but smile. These pictures reminds me of him when he was still a baby; he was so adorable and no problem taking pictures of him...anyway, this is my entry for this week's Mommy Moments! Enjoy!

This was taken when Jake was two year old in our old house in Texas. It was the morning of Christmas...

I can't remember what the exact time it was taken, but I am pretty sure he was six or seven months old here. I love every minutes of the day I spent with my son...those were the bonding moments we have had together.

Have you or someone you know lost pet and never found it? If so, do you know that nearly 90% of all lost pets have never recovered and returned home due to lack identification? It is very alarming, don't you think? But this problem will never happened if those animals are microchipped and registered with the Home Again Web Site. This website have always on the lookout to find pets and also have helped reunite over 500,000 lost pets with their families! And if you are a pet owner, you can help the Home Again by outfitting your pet with proper identification that cannot fall off or become impossible to read, and in the process donates to the care of shelter animals. Anyway, through 9th of May, for each per registered, Home Again will make a donation of $1 to bringpetshome.com through a fundraising Web site specifically created to help shelter animals. The website also lists retailers where a portion of purchases will be donated to animal shelters for necessities such as food and medical care. There is no additional cost to you and you can shop to your hearts content knowing that you are helping an animal in need. So, what are you waiting for? Go to their website now and make a simple purchase; by so doing you not only help your pet, but also will give many pets a second chance of life by reuniting them with their owners. Isn't it a great way to help pets throughout the world?

Another Busy Day!

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, May 07, 2009 2 comments
Tonight is the last night of our stay here in Barclay Towers. We were busy today as usual. We have done our routine activities everyday like walking early in the morning by the seashore, breakfast, swimming on the beach, and on the inside pool afterwards. We also went for a bike ride like we did yesterday, have eaten our lunch in and dinner out. We really took advantage of swimming on the beach that is why we didn't go to any of the museums here as well as Dolphin watching and visit to aquarium. We have ended our day by eating at a Sea foods Restaurant. We really have had a blast with our spring/summer vacation this year. And I thanked God for this wonderful opportunity to bond as family.

Create a Cleaner, Healthier Home

Posted by Cecile at Tuesday, May 05, 2009 3 comments
I got these tips from Lowe's , just thought of sahring it with you, guys :-)!

Use these tips as a starting point to clear the air, purify the water and clean the surfaces in your home:

Clean Air TipClean Air Tip: Understanding Air Purifiers
Even if you've taken the proper steps to keep your air
clean – changing HVAC filters, vacuuming regularly or using Febreze® Fabric Refresher™ – you may still want the extra insurance of an air purifier, especially when living with individuals that have respiratory problems.

There are two basic kinds of air purifiers: tabletop and whole room units. Tabletop units are less expensive and can be toted to rooms as needed. Whole room units have larger filters and collecting plates and, therefore, do a better job of cleaning the air.

Clean Water TipClean Water Tip: Water Filter Options
The popularity of bottled water over the past several years is a clear indication that people are more than aware of the impurities that can be found in tap water. But improving the drinking water in your home is really as easy as installing a water filter. And today you have more choices than ever before.

Clean Surfaces TipClean Surfaces Tip: Countertop Tips
You know that towel you just used to wipe off your countertop? It might have done more harm than good. Towels and sponges, when not taken care of properly, can actually spread germs around. This is especially dangerous when cleaning up after raw meats, which can lead to cross-contamination.

Your best strategy for keeping countertops and other kitchen surfaces clean is two-fold: first, wipe away any visible messes.

Together, Home Made Simple and Lowe’s provide you with simple solutions for easy living in a cleaner, healthier home. This is just a sampling of all the tips, projects and products Lowe’s has to offer to help you make your healthy home a reality. For more great solutions visit Lowe’s Healthy Home.

*All food preparation surfaces need to be rinsed off before placing food on surface.

Just for YOU, Mother

Posted by Cecile at Saturday, May 02, 2009 0 comments
A week from now, Mother's Day is here. And I would like to Thank my mother for everything she has done for me and the things that she still do for me and my siblings. She was an example of patient, long suffering, unconditional love and selfless person. With that, I am and will forever be grateful for her. I also thank God, the Father for blessing me with such a Great Mom.

I love you, Inang (mother) for the good exapmles you have shown us. I wouldn't be where and who I am (mother and person) right now if it wasn't from you.

zwani.com myspace graphic comments
...to the Best Mom ever, My Inang!

"Motherhood" which I think should be our main focus as of this time. "Motherhood is near to divinity." It is the highest and holliest calling. It is next to the angels. This divine service of motherhood can be rendered only by mothers. It may not passed to others. Mothers are to conceive, bear, nourish, love and train. They are to be helpmates, and are to counsel with their husbands.

Are you trying to lose weight but didn't have any success with it? I heard what you say! To some, it isn't easy to lose weight without getting support and encouragement. I, for one can attest to that. For whatever reason, I feel bored going to the gym without someone to talk to. Then I found a website called Fit Click.com; an online weight loss community. It is also a social fitness with the tools that allow you to create your diet plan and exercise while tracking your weight loss. The great thing about this website is that you can join the group of people like you who are ready to give you support and encouragement and even share experiences with you and vice-versa. What are you waiting for? Join the the community now for free and start losing those extra weight you have been carrying for a long time now!
