Cheap Domain Names and Web Hosting Services

Posted by Cecile at Tuesday, December 30, 2008 0 comments

I have two blogs that need to be registered in domain. It is taking awhile I know, but I need to be careful in choosing a web hosting company to use when it comes to my blogs. I have a bad experienced when I registered my one blog; they couldn't even give my blog the basic things it needs. So I decided to cancel it and told myself not to rush when finding and choosing web hosting company who register domain in such a way that will satisfy the need of my blogs. Then after long search, I finally found the one I was looking for and that is UK-Cheapest.co.uk, a company that offers everything a blog could ever need. Their initial registration prices are very low, thus save you money. They also provide domain names for two years and that means you don't have to pay renewal fee until the first two years is over. The domain renewal fee cost is very low, includes homepage builder with your domain name, unlimited nameservers changes with no extra pay, email forwarding address, again with your domain name, url forwarding address, customizes your domain DNS for weebly.com. As you can see, almost everything is free! Everything you want is included. I will definitely use them when it is time for me to register my two blogs into domain. What are you waiting for? Visit their site for more detailed informations they offer.

Tomato Fair

This snapshot was taken at the Tomato Fair last summer where they posed with the giant Duckie :-). Jacob really enjoyed the activities for kids like face painting, animal petting, deflatable slides as well as the hay ride; Matt and I enjoyed watching him playing with the other kids.

We planned to buy some tomatoes, but we forgot to bring cash, so we just went around visiting some booth selling all kinds of arts and crafts. Foods were not cheap, but we love the fried green tomatoes and tomato pie.

Flowers are my Favorites...

Posted by Cecile at Tuesday, December 30, 2008 2 comments
I love flowers so much; they made me appreciate more of Gods creations when I see them! My hubby used to give me flowers once a week and I was loving it! But because they are expensive, I told him to stop bringing me flowers, but only when there is an ocassion like my Birthday and Valentines Day! At first he didn't like that idea but eventually gave in to what I want! I was just trying to save it instead.

Tulips is one of my favorites, next is Daisies and then Orchids! I like Roses, too!

Ever since digital photo frame reach the market it became very popular that my husband and his parents have been talking how much they wanted to get or owe one. I told them that they need to see the Ceiva Digital Photo Frame. I never seen a photo frame like Digital Photo Frame before. Ceiva is unique and far beyond any digital photos camera in the market today. I would really love to have the one myself because of its ability to upload photos directly from phone or email. You don't need to be connected to the computer and internet to load pictures. The great thing about this Digital Photo Frame is that, it automatically receives photos sent directly to the frame from around the globe. It also connects via an existing phone line or optional Wi-Fi. Not only that, it also receives photos directly from a computer or camera phone. What else? Oh don't forget that photo displays perfectly without cropping, stretching or squishing. Amazing, don't you think? I love the way Ceiva frame displays new photos automatically sent from family and friends anywhere in the world without doing a thing!

Thirst Quenching Drink

Posted by Cecile at Sunday, December 28, 2008 8 comments
Iced Melon Drink is a refreshing drink for those hot summer days. Very easy to make. I miss it so much especially during hot summer days here in America.

Iced Melon Drink Ingredients:

  • 1 medium size rockmelon (cantaloupe)
  • water
  • sugar
  • cube ice or crashed ice

  • Melon scrapper (a scraper designed for scrapping melon or coconut)
  • Tall drinking glass
  • Pitcher

How to make iced melon drink :

  1. Cut the melon in half, remove the seeds.
  2. Shred the cantaloupe meat using the melon scrapper on a pitcher.
  3. Mix together the melon shreds, water, ice and sugar.
  4. Stir
  5. Pour into glasses and serve cold.

Locally called "Sa Malamig" in the Philippines and sold in sari-sari stores or street stands and is ladled into plastic cups. A refreshing drink for those hot summer days.

Adorable Teacup Yorkie Dogs

Posted by Cecile at Sunday, December 28, 2008 0 comments
I grew up with at least two dogs in our house that is why I am missing having dogs home. My husband used to have dogs when he was single, too! Now our four year old son is very fond of our neighbor's dogs and has been bugging us to buy one for him. We told our son we would buy a dog next year after we are settled to our new place; plus the apartment we are living now is very small to have pet. We like our dog to have a space to run around and play. I would like to have cute dogs like the Yorkies, on the other hand my husband and son would like to get Feist. I have found a website where we can get cute dogs like yorkies at teacupyorkiedogs.com. They are very cute, cuddly and adorable! If you are looking for teacup yorkie dogs, you need to visit their site. You can even watch them at the videos taken by the owners during Halloween with their costumes and all. It was funny when Bubby didn't like the costume he was wearing that he wouldn't even want to move! I wonder how would it look like when you cross breed Feist and Yorkies; I bet it would looked very cute, too! By the way, their names are Isabella and Bubby. Look at them, don't they look adorable in the pictures?

Holiday Cheer!

Posted by Cecile at Tuesday, December 23, 2008 2 comments

You Spread a Lot of Holiday Cheer

During the holidays, you represent the true spirit of Christmas.

You give freely, and you enjoy this special time of the year.

There's a good chance that you spread cheer every time of the year... not just during the holidays.

You're kind, upbeat, and generous. Anyone who crosses your path is lucky.

Do You Spread Holiday Cheer?

Not bragging but I am indded a generous person and that drives my mother crazy! My hubby gets broke and myself happy. I like to give than to receive...and that gives me a sense of fulfillment and happiness that money can not buy! It is my pleasure to help without expecting anything in return.

Cash for the Holidays!

My husband keeps joking about his boss and his wife. They have three houses and all of them are filled with antiques. My husband said that if he is to invest, he would buy gold than antiques and sell them when gold’s price get very high. I would do the same. Since I have accumulated some gold jewelries few years before I got married, I think I need to sell them now for cash. We need some money soon becasue we will be moving and we can use some cash to pay for utility bills and credit card payments. I am glad to have found Gold Cash Source. Anyway, are you short of cash this holiday season? Do you have gold hidden in your safe. If you say “yes” to these questions, then go and take them. Gold Cash Source.com is the best place to sell your gold. They are # 1 America’s Gold Buyer and thousands of customers trust them! They will buy your jewelry, but don’t forget to ask for FREE Gold Kit. If I have lots of gold I will definitely sell it to them. My Aunt has lots of jewelry especially gold given to her by his loving and generous husband; but she is wise enough now to sell them and put the money on their savings account. She said they are not getting younger anymore, plus they want to help her relatives who are in need especially this Holiday season. I will surely tell her about Gold Cash Source because she has been asking me to find a company they can be trusted. What are you waiting fro? Avail of this great gold price by visiting their website and once again, don’t forget to ask for a free gold kit. After you get the kit, just place your gold or jewelry in a secure bag, mail them and track it online. That easy! They are even shown on T.V. and your gold, jewelry and platinum will be sold in just 24 hours!

Christmas is close at hand. We finally made up our mind to spend it home after going to my husband sibling’s house. It would be nearly three hours drive, but I hope we will all have fun. Anyway, is everything ready for you and your family this Christmas? Have you decided yet where will you spend it? Is this going to be a grand reunion or just a quiet time at home? Whatever your plans are, hope that you would also keep in mind those families who will be missing their loved one ones this Christmas. My family and I give donations to the church where we belong. We also make sure to donate to a group like the Sears Heroes at Home wish registry. Sears has once again trying to make the holidays a little easier for the 30,583 families of the soldiers who are deployed overseas like Iraq and Afghanistan. They will be away with their families this Christmas. If you are interested in making a donations for them, you can visit Sears’s website at Sears.com. Donations made to this registry are tax deductible and will be given as a Sears Gift Card equal to all registered families. Make a difference in the lives of those families everyday and especially this Holiday season. I am sure you will be glad because you will be making this Christmas a little bit easier and brighter for these military soldiers and their families.

Are you a fan of Peppermint Bark? We love it so much that we make sure we have it in our house during holiday season. I also give it as present for my father in-law who is a huge fan of it. He can have it anytime of the year if he want to. It is a bit expensive, but not easy to make either(at least for me that is)! So I prefer of buying than making it myself.

Many people nowadays are having hard time paying their bills and credit card debt. With the economy meltdown it makes it even more harder for them. I have a friend back in Texas. He is also a motivational speaker as well as comedian from the state of Ohio. He became famous for his performance in the Evolution of Dance clip. The great thing about this is that the video is currently rated number two for the most viewed video and number six for the most discussed video on youtube. On Laipply site describes the show as combining his thoughts about life and change with humor. He began closing many of his college, high school and corporate appearances with his unusual dance medley in 2002. And It soon became a favorite of the crowd. The time of its initial rise in popularity, it amassed over 10 million views in under two weeks. When you watch the video, you can see Laipply dances to the soundtrack various popular songs from Elvis Presley to MC Hammer and Michael Jackson. We love it for it is very perfect when his cousin comes to visit him, where one of them can sleep on the top.

He even plays a lot on top of his bed, as you can see there is a toy in front of him :-)

A Perfect Family Night Movie

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, December 18, 2008 1 comments

My family and I are movie lovers. We watch movie likes two times a weeks. When it comes to choosing movie to watch as family, we make sure that it is educational and would be helpful and contains value necessary for the growth of our son as well as entertaining. Usually, we watch movie at home since we have a son who is only four year old. We just rent movie on a regular basis because it is very convenient and is cheaper than going to a movie house. Popcorn and pizza have been part of our family movie night ever since.

Talking about movie that teaches values, here is the one that you can watch with your family and it is entitled
All Roads Lead Home The Movie. This was shown in theaters last few months ago, September of 2008 to be exact. It is very touching and I even cried while watching it. Anyway, this is a story of a young girl who lost her mother in a car accident and her father struggles raising her. The girls attitude towards her father was changed by a dog named Atticus and the red bred race horse. Belle (girl’s name) eventually changes the lives of those who love her. This movie is really a wonderful movie and we will surely add it to our family movie night tradition. You have to see it for yourself. Above is a sneak preview of the movie. Have fun watching it!

The Last Christmas with Family

Posted by Cecile at Wednesday, December 17, 2008 5 comments
When was the last time that you spent Christmas with the whole family?

That was before I came here in America, 2000. And that was it. I am hoping to spend Chrismas with them next year with my hubby and son. It would be very exciting since that will be the first time that my family and hubby will finally meet in person. I can not wait. My family have been anxious to meet him and vice versa. Oh how I miss my family so much especially this time of the year! All in all it has been 8 years since I have spent my last Christmas with them, sad but what can I do? I have my own family now and as always when our budget allows us, we will go right away; plus my son and I were there summer last year!
