Like Father, Like Son!

Posted by Cecile at Monday, June 18, 2012 0 comments
My son's first hero is indeed his father. As you an see in these photos, he likes to do what his Dad is doing. He follows him wherever he goes, whatever he does. He looks forward when Daddy gets home from work. When Daddy is our of his sight, he would go looking for him (in the garage, yard, even in the bathroom, lol.

Shooting BB gun.
Reading fave books.
Swimming together.

He even watches Dad's fave tv shows ( Star Trek Enterprise and The Andy Griffith show). He is indeed his father's son :-).

Reading Books with Daddy

These are few of the reading sessions my son and hubby did. As you can see, they ready anywhere, anytime, and in any position, lol! I find it very amusing to see these guys read books. Me, I read book with Jake every night before he goes to bed...for he wouldn't sleep without it. I am glad that my son loves books. He can now read simple book and that to me is awesome. I couldn't read the book till I was in second grade or when I was eight year old; and here my son who only six year old!

As what my son always says: reading is fun!

I am a firm believer that when you read to your kids when they are still young, it will help them a lot especially on their speech development and communication skills as well as appreciation on book and how important it is to read when they get older. Hubby and I read at least 15-30 minutes a day with our son...and that short time makes big difference in our son's lives.

Father and Son's Night Out!

Posted by Cecile at Wednesday, May 27, 2009 1 comments
It is father and son night out today, so hubby and son went to see Star Wars at movie theater today. They want me to join them but I decided to stay home watch T.V., blog and grab opps. I am glad they went without me. Oh by the way, we sold our car today, yehey! I hope when we get to Texas, we will be able to find the truck we both like. We need at least two cars if we will both go to work. I think I need to work for at least a year before going back to school. I need to be a Texas resident for at least one year before I can go back to college or else I will pay out of state college tuition which is more than we can afford. I think I can wait.
