Jacob's Notice for Mom and Dad

Every time my son did something he knew he wasn't supposed to do, one of his privileges will be taken away from him unless he proved himself that he is worthy to get it back. He knew better but sometimes he kept doing the same mistake over and over again. And so, when I get fed up, this is what happens. He thought he would get what he wants by writing a letter or notice for us. Nope, he was wrong, lol.

Anyway, this was the letter I've found on his bedroom door. It made me and my husband laugh silently. He did a pretty good job writing this note if you may say, except for one misspelled word 'privilege.'

Facts About My Son

1. Born on the morning of July
2. Birth weight: 4 lbs. 7 oz., was a preemie baby!
3. First word, Dada.
4. First steps: 14 months old
5. Loves watching video/animated movie Pocahontas, Toy Story 1 and 2, The Incredibles, and Winnie the Pooh!
6. Was a "Tow head" for about the first 3 yrs.
7. Loves playing, bike riding, and reading books with Mom or Dad.
8. Is starting Kindergarten this fall (i can't believe that my baby is growing so fast!). He can read ABC's and 123's, write his name, write numbers and letters (both the capital and lower case), solve simple Math.
9. Is the sweetest kid! He's kind, patient, giving, and considerate and loves being with friends.
10. Does pretty good in school. He is smart, though he has just finished Pre-K.
11. He's a sister who is in Heaven.
12. He is loved by his whole family, Mom, Dad, Grandparents, lots of Aunts and Uncles, and cousins.
13. My littleman will be turning 5 this month! Happy Birthday, my little pumpkin :-)!

Brushing His Teeth, Fun!

Spider Man toothbrush and toothpaste, plus act make brushing Jake's teeth exciting and fun!

These items make my son excited about brushing his teeth. He brushes his teeth twice a day with my help in the morning and his Dad's help at night. I am so glad that he is not afraid of seeing the dentist anymore, in fact he changed words in his song from "going to the dentist is not a good idea" to " going to the dentist if fun after all".

We bought his bed at Ikea last year and he was enjoying it here in these pictures.

We love it for it is very perfect when his cousin comes to visit him, where one of them can sleep on the top.

He even plays a lot on top of his bed, as you can see there is a toy in front of him :-)

What my son wants to be....

I am always curious to know what my son would want to be when he grows up; so I often ask him about that, but he always says, "I don't know, Mommy." Then today, while sitting on the couch watching television, he said: "I want to be a policeman when I grow up, Mommy." I was surprised and happy to hear that. Oh, my baby is growing so fast and is learning a lot now. How time flies, he was just a baby three years ago. Now, he wanted to be a policeman.... I know he will still change his mind, I am just tickled to hear him saying what he wants someday :-)

How the four 4 year old child plays now...

Make-believe play fills your preschooler’s days, and the first true friendships begin to develop as social skills improve.

He can walk along a curb, climb up the steps of a slide, play on a monkey bar and ride a bicycle.
He can learn to swim, skate, ski, dance and use a trampoline.
A new creative technique, game, toy or activity can keep her engrossed for hours.
He is starting to add details to her drawings and other art projects.
He may print his name on his art.
He understands that other people have feelings that are different from him.

Since my son was born 7 months early, everybody says that he will catch up with the kids his age later. But that doesn't apply witn Jacob. He never get behind with the kids his age. He is always fine and sometimes better than them surprisingly. I am glad for that. Now I don't have to worry anymore whether he is behind or just a slow learner.

Jake's race of a lifetime...

Jacob's dreadful day...

It was a busy day for us today; I thought I wouldn't get any opps today because of that. But my husband was kind enough not to accompany him at his doctor's appointment which lasted for more than an hour. So I stayed home working on my blog, dropping ec, visiting and completing opps. In the afternoon, it was my son's appointment for his 4 year old vaccinations. We picked him up at school earlier today; and got 5 shots plus his flu mists and he wasn't happy at all. It was heartbreaking seeing your little one crying for help while getting shots; but there is nothing we can do about it. It is for his own good health anyway, so we just closed our eyes till it's done. As a treat for him, we went to the newly opened Bass Pro Shop near home. And he liked that; he has forgotten the pain associated with those vaccinations he got. We were glad he is happy now.
