What would you do?

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, July 31, 2008 0 comments
What would you do if every time you wanted someone they would never be there?
What would you do if for every moment you were truly happy there would be 10 moments of sadness?
What would you do if your best friend died tomorrow and you never got to tell them how you felt?
So, I just wanted to say, even if I never talk to you again in my life,
You are special to me and you have made a difference in my life.
I look up to you, respect you, and truly cherish you.
Just remember this and take comfort in knowing somebody out there cares about you and always will.
In times of trouble, In times of need, If you are feeling SAD, You can count on me. I will give you a wink, Until you smile, give you a hug, And stand by your side.
I'll be there for you till the end, I'll always and forever, be your friend!

Send this to all your friends, no matter how often you talk, or how close you are, and send it to the person who sent it to you.Let old friends know you haven't forgotten them, and tell new friends you never will.Remember, everyone needs a friend; someday you might feel like you have NO FRIENDS at all.

I am so happy today; I was able to get three opps, one from PPP and two from SS. I have been waiting for days to at least get one, but I always get nothing. I m so glad I get more than I asked for. Thank you PPP and SS for these opportunities. I just hope that will get approval with all of them. I am thankful for the blessings God has given me.

Amazing Domestic Seafood Recipe

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, July 31, 2008 1 comments
My family and I love eating and cooking; that is why I cook a lot of variety of foods in our kitchen. One of our favorites is shrimp. I came in a country with lots of different sea foods, fresh and inexpensive. I learned to cook by watching my mother cooks seafoods in a lot of ways. I love shrimp because it is very easy to cook; in just a matter of minutes you have it, ready to be eaten. I cook it the easiest way I know; after cleaning (removing the skin, deveining and rinsing)., just drop it on a hot wok with a very little vegetables oil or butter and minced garlic, I stir it a little bit, then seasoned with salt and pepper, cover and let it steam for a minute or two then here you have a very delicious shrimp and top it with chopped parsley. Another way to cook it is to grill it. First of course you have to clean it, dried it with paper towel, then seasoned it with salt and pepper and brush it with a little oil with minced garlic, put it on skewers and then grill it for minutes or till the color turns pink. This seafood would be a very great contender in the seafood’s Cook off because is very easy to cook, yet delicious and very easy to find. You can even find it fresh in the seafood section of your favorite grocery stores and Asian markets. You can make scampi, or put it in soup, seafoods jambalaya, stirred fried vegetables and not to mention the shrimp cocktail and many more. I am very excited for the seafood’s Cook off because everybody loves sea foods and shrimp is the all time favorites. I am very positive that it is going to be a big winner in the Cook off competition because of its versatility.
Anyway, I heard this contest about Seafood Cook off in Louisiana. It is a two day events. The Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board (LSPMB) presented the fourth annual at ErnesCook off t N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans on August 4 – 5. Select chefs from coast to coast showcased their art, the value of domestic seafood, and the simplicity of cooking seafood at home. Open to the public for the first time, Day 2 was all about the home cook. One of America’s most prestigious culinary competitions, one chef and one state will walk away with the title of King of American Seafood. If you know how to cook and have recipes of your own, you are free to share them at Cook off, who knows you might be crowned as King of American seafood.

Dinner time...

I didn't know what to do for dinner last night, so I decided to make this baked cornish hen. I used the recipes I found in Allrecipes.com. It turned out to be very tender and moist. Love It!
My son ate a lot because he likes these foods: greens beans (steamed) boiled corn on the cob, rice and of course the chicken ( Did I tell you, he is a meat lover?). It is a treat for him!

I have been on an aiplane many times like most people do; we know that once the airplane gets up in the sky, the temperature inside the plane drops dramatically. Most passengers gets cold especially during summertime; It is alright if you are wearing heavy clothes or thick clothing. But who would what to wear those clothes in summer? None. If we will rely on the thin blankets the crews provided to us, it won't do any good plus you are not even sure whether they are clean or not. Now, that airplane stopped carrying pillows and blankets, what are we going to do? Good thing that there is someone who is smart enough and come up with the idea of blanket. It is like the one you used at home that will keep you warm when it's cold. The travel blanket is very, very useful. A tote that turns into a pillow and a blanket that serves six purposes. Where can you find that? It is only in Cabin Cuddler . With it's contour-cut covers your whole body without getting un tucked, very light and you can carry it anywhere you go, be at home, car trips, airplane or anywhere where it is cold. With it's patented pocket that will keep your feet warm. What are you waiting for? Hurry up and get your Cabin Cuddler now! When you buy two or more they will ship it to you free in wherever part of the world you are.

Bills IQ saves money, gives us peace

When I was still single, I don’t have any debt at all because I paid it full every month. Then I got married I was not the one who manages the money and pays bill. It was my husband. So, my life was pretty easy because all I do was doing my duty as wife and eventually mother. I didn’t realized then that my husband was struggling handling our finances and budget., but he didn’t tell me that because he didn’t wants me to be burdened by it; till such time that we were into such a big debt, particularly credit card bills that we couldn’t even pay it, because on top of that, we are also paying mortgage, bills, taxes, car insurance and house renovations. We talked about it and decided that I will give it a try doing the budget to see if we will be able to cut down our spending and save a little for rainy days. And so I did, and it helped a little but not much. That means we are in very deep Credit card debt. We didn’t know where else to find money to make our ends meet. That the time we knew we needed Debt consolidation . Bills IQ came to the rescue, they gave us Debt help to Consolidate debt . We are now at peace and happy because we got the Debt relief we needed and wanted for a long time.Because of Bills IQ, we are now very careful on how we spend and manage our money wisely. We learned to save at least 10% of our income and only buy the things that we need instead of wants; and also limit our eating out to at least once a week. I also learned from Bills IQ not to carry credit card anymore and also make sure that we have saved money enough to sustain us for at least six months or more in case of emergency/calamity.

My son and I went to church by ourselves because my husband has to work today. It is also my son's 4th Birthday; I gave him a hug and a kiss when he woke up this morning. At the Primary, they sung for him and also gave him a little present. He was happy because of that. I told him that we will go bake a cake for him and he is very excited. He said, he likes cupcakes and that is we will going to do. Then, when hubby comes home, we will do the celebration and tomorrow will be going at Short Pump Mall to buy him the present he liked which is he "little people train". He can't wait to have it!

Cisco is Way to get your Dream Job!

Posted by Cecile at Saturday, July 26, 2008 0 comments
In this world full of changes, the only permanent is change. A lot of changes happened and still happening, especially when it comes to career. People get laid off or get fired from job because of the changes in the world of technology. My husband has been working in one of the biggest semi conductor industry or company in the world for a long time and all of a sudden they laid off a lot of employees and unfortunately, he was one of them. He was jobless for eight months and it was very hard for us with the family of three he being the only one working. We were glad that he landed a job and we were relocated. His boss told him that he needs to update his knowledge in the field of his industry with regards to his job despite that he has a bachelor degree on it. His job now is going to be faced out and that he needs more training if he is to stay in the company. Then one day, we came across the Cisco certification , where he can be trained and certified in the field of electronics. We are now considering enrolling to be trained and get certified in the field of information technology or the field of his industry. Nowadays, company hires people who have updated their knowledge, trained and certified when it comes with the job and industry of the people they are hiring. Now, we don’t need to worry about getting laid off again once we are certified. I would highly recommend Cisco certification to anyone who needs training and certification because they build credibility in someone else’s career, field and industry.

Two days off well worth spent!

Posted by Cecile at Friday, July 25, 2008 0 comments

Jacob at Fossil beach posed before heading back home and these are the produce we bought on our way home.My Hubby was off two day this week, it was Wednesday and Thursday. We spent Wednesday running errand while Jacob was at the DayCare. We went to the dealership where we bought the Van to have the oil change. Since the Asian market is at the same area, we decided to get some green veggies, chips and soy milk after the car is done. By the time we are finished it was already lunch time, so we decided to eat at Vietnamese Restaurant before picking our son up to school. Matt ordered Pho with meatball and mine with shirmp. It was a good lunch. We all took a nap when we got home. Then ate at Aunt Sarah's Pancake place for a dinner with Jake. The foods were not bad and not so good, too! We just want to try it, and we did. Now the place is out of our lists. Thursday, we all woke up early to drop Jake to school, but ended up going to the beach. As you can see, it is just a one minute plan and off we go. Somehow, we always managed to do it and have fun doing things we didn't even plan doing that day. I though we were going to Virginia Beach, but Matt decided to go to the Fossil Beach; Man! I was so disappointed and got pissed off a little bit. But since we were already there, might as well enjoy it because our son is having so much fun. Later on, we all enjoyed our trip there. We did some fossil digging and finding, picnic and swam a little bit. We were all exhausted, but were happy at the end of the day. On the way home, we stopped by at the produce stall along the road and bought some vegetables and fruit. We spend a pair amount of money with all of them, not bad! So, Hubby's off was well worth spent.

Update on my favorite show "The Golden Girls"

Posted by Cecile at Tuesday, July 22, 2008 0 comments

Estelle Getty, one of the actors in the famous comedy show, The Golden Girls, dies at the age of 84.
Estelle Getty, the diminutive actress who spent 40 years struggling for success before landing a role of a lifetime in 1985 as the sarcastic octogenarian Sophia on TV's "The Golden Girls," has died. She was 84.
Getty, who suffered from advanced dementia, died at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at her Hollywood Boulevard home, said her son, Carl Gettleman of Santa Monica.
"She was loved throughout the world in six continents, and if they loved sitcoms in Antarctica she would have been loved on seven continents," her son said. "She was one of the most talented comedic actresses who ever lived."

I am so proud of myself!

Posted by Cecile at Monday, July 21, 2008 3 comments
I got to tell you guys, patience does pay! Patience is also a Virtue. Yes! My patience and faith did pay when finally, for the first time in one and a half months of blogging; I have submitted posts at Pay Per Post and Social Spark by myself without the helped of my friends. Today was my lucky day! And I thank my friends for helping me patiently. You guys know who you are; I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will never forget PayPerPost and Social Spark for approving my posts! Thank you both very much. And most of all, Our God (Heavenly Father) for answering my prayers whether I should stop blogging and find job elsewhere or the other way around. I will never forget my hubby for being very patient and understanding; he really wanted me to stop, but I refused to. I am not good at it yet, but I am getting there. I know I still need to learn a lot and I am willing to do that!

A Poem about KINDNESS

Posted by Cecile at Monday, July 21, 2008 2 comments
I thought I was going to get better today, but I didn't. Unfortunately, I need to stay home today with my son, while my hubby works today. My son and I were supposed to be going to church today, but we didn't go because I am now suffering from laryngitis cause by coughing and colds. I am here chilling with my son now and trying to visit my friends to say Hi. While I was reading the church magazine (FRIENDS) last night, I came across this very wonderful and sweet poem. I decided to write it on my blog so everyone can read it and feel good!

Alzheimer's memory walk

Posted by Cecile at Monday, July 21, 2008 0 comments
Everyday a lot of old people are diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease. My grandmother is one of them. It is sad especially if one of your loved one is suffering from it. I grew up with my grandmother; she was a loving and supportive grandmother I could ever ask for. I was surprised when I saw her; she didn't recognized or remembered me at all. I don't know what to do but cry every time I think about her. I didn't know that it is a deadly disease till my cousin, who is working as a nurse in Florida told me so. She was sad, too! Every time we talk about our grandmother, we just both can't help but cry in the end.

I encourage everyone out there who are able even children to participate in Alzheimer's Memory Walk and become champions in the fight against Alzheimer. We all can really make a difference in the lives of those affected by it. Let us help the nation spread the words so everybody can participate in the program. Let us raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Together, we can do it!

Tri Scents Transform my Home

Posted by Cecile at Friday, July 18, 2008 1 comments
Ts_version_2

My family and I love eating and cooking. The only thing about cooking is that your whole house smells food and it also stick on our clothes. I hate it when I go get clothes in the closet and it smells foods. Then one day, I was checking my Social Spark account, and signed up for a free sample of Renuzit TriScents. Yesterday, I opened my mailbox and found my free sample of it. I am so glad. I immediately opened it with excitement; put it in my living room. Oh! Man it smells good, that I went to store and bought some more using the coupon that came with it on the mail. Before I have been cooking for like all day, and all you can smell in my house is food, so I decide not to cook very often because of that. Now that I have the Renuzit TriScentsinto my home, I can cook for as much as I like to again and you wouldn't even smell that I am have been cooking for whole day. And my husband does not smell the foods at all; and he asked what did I do, I just said...simply it is because of this great air- freshener? Well, there is only one thing and that is... Renuzit TriScents. Oh! Man I love this products just like I love perfumes. It transforms my house into a garden. It smells good! I have put in almost every room in my house...from living, dining, bathrooms and bedrooms. My hubby likes the smell of it, too! Can you believe? I even put one in our utility room and basement where I do the laundry! One more thing I love about this is that it changes the smell every forty five minutes. I can not believe it! Three scents in one...genius! I even recommended Renuzit TriScents to my friends and they are enjoying the smell of it themselves now!

Baking Amish Bread is Cool!

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, July 17, 2008 3 comments

I have been meaning to try to bake Amish Bread for a long time, but no time and thought it requires a lot of labor. So I kept putting it off till I went to church and one of my friends gave me a recipe of it with the batter she already made. The bread she calls "Amish Friendship Bread". I think Amish are interesting people by the way they live; they are very resourceful and creative and conservative and very forgiving people, too! I like to try to live like them someday. I like their bread, too! So finally after 9 (nine) days of waiting for it to be ready to be baked, I have a very delicious and pretty looking AFB! The good thing about making this bread is that before you bake it, you have three batters to share it with your friends along with the recipe. You will never run out of it as soon as you made batter; instead you will run out of friends to share it with! How cool is that? A blessing of bread and more friends!

I promise my son, Jacob yesterday that if he behaves well and listens to what Mommy and Daddy will ask him to do; then we will go to the Mall and Farmers Market. He did and still behaving well today. Unfortunately, my cold got worst and I have been coughing like crazy today and my voice is very husky (you know what I mean!). I am still undecided whether to go or not. And here he is still patiently waiting for me to tell him, "ok! Let’s go, son." Just now, he said, " I am tired, Mommy! I want to go take a nap! Poor guy, I think I better take him now or he wouldn't trust me anymore if I didn't take him out today. I love him so much; he's the most patient boy I have ever known in my life! Amazing how long he can wait for me. Even my friends are amazed with his ability to wait long.

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, July 10, 2008 0 comments

Before I got married, I used to watch beauty pagent like this. But for whatever reason, I stopped because I have been busy and also my husband doesn't really like watching it that much esp. if it is telecast very late at night. Anyway, got this from Pinaymama; thank you friend for sharing this meme with me.

***Start Here***

The 2008 Miss Universe comes to Vietnam for a night of stars and glamour in search of the most beautiful woman in the world! The winner for Best National Costume will be decided by online votes. So now, the main objective of this tag is to increase awareness for all Filipinos regarding the online voting. Let's VOTE for our very unique Philippine National Costume worn by our representative, Jennifer Barrientos.
General Instructions:1. Go to
THIS LINK!

2. In the Menu Bar just above the thumbnail pictures of the delegates, click ASIA/AUSTRALIA.
3. Look for the Philippines' Costume (like the picture above & it's actually in the page 2).

4. Click its thumbnail.

5. After clicking, a preview will then appear on the right side of the page. Click "SELECT THIS DELEGATE" located just below that preview.

6. The bad things is, we are to choose 3 delegates! So be sure NOT to vote for those countries that will surely be a strong competitor for the AWARD! :)

7. After choosing the Philippines and the "other" two countries, click on "SUBMIT VOTE" located just below the thumbnail pictures.

8. Follow the SIMPLE instructions after that!9. You're done! Go Philippines!

Taking Control: Future Therapies for a Host of Serious Diseases May Be Found in Women's Menstrual Blood

OLDSMAR, Fla., July 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- With today’s hectic lifestyle, where most women are juggling careers, family, relationships, and a host of activities, the idea of possibly facing a serious illness in the future is not something that readily comes to mind -- especially when a woman is in the prime of her life. But what most women don’t know, is that the key to treating a number of possibly life-threatening diseases that she, a parent, a sibling or even her children may face in later years, such as osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, may be found within her own body -- in vital stem cells, which can now be harvested from her own menstrual blood.

Now, thanks to the revolutionary research and technology of C’elle, a service dedicated to providing women with a safe and easy method of collecting and preserving stem cells found in her menstrual fluid each month, even the busiest woman can take control of her future, right in the privacy of her own home. With C’elle’s non-invasive collection process, menstrual cells are processed and cryo-preserved (stored at a very low temperature) for potential cellular therapies that may be used in the future. These self-renewing cells one day may even be used for sports medicine or cosmeceutical treatments, such as anti-aging therapies.

"C’elle enables and empowers a woman to take control of her future health, and possibly of those genetically closest to her, in a fast, painless and stress free way," said Michelle Kay, Marketing and Sales Manager for C’elle. "We live in exciting times, as science and technology are
discovering how extremely valuable menstrual blood stem cells really are, and the enormous treatment potential they represent for future therapies. C’elle’s ongoing research is supporting these promising findings."

Another one of those busy day!

Posted by Cecile at Wednesday, July 09, 2008 1 comments
I am so happy that I did a lot of things today. I have started my day with dropping up my son at the daycare, followed by a trip to the post office to mail the bills. Then I returned home, have breakfast, checked emails, blogs, friendster, ldslinkup and balanced the check. The house is not dirty, but it needed some tidying up because of my son who never gets tired of leaving his toys and stuffs on the floor. I did the weekly laundry, too, plus changing the beddings and putting them on the washing machine as well; so it was really y a long day of laundry for me. I made a nice dinner for my hubby for that is the only consolation he gets from us from working twelve hours a day, five days a week. I feel so sorry for him that he needs to work that long; that by the time he gets home, the only thing he can do was to eat dinner, take a shower and go to bed because of tiredness. We only have time to sit and talk when he is off. I am now done except with the folding of the clothes and reading my scriptures before going to bed; once again, will stay up late tonight! I am tired, but happy for all the things I have accomplished today!

I signed up for PPP!

I am so used to working outside home before I get married, that is why after a year or two, I started to feel bored and missing my family more and more, especially working outside home and being dependent. I am not saying I don't like my life now as wife and mother of very busy toddler, it is just that I want to help my husband to make our ends meet especially now that our son is growing so fast like a weed on top of gas price as well as groceries and everything we use everyday. I want to work and still stay home with my family and my friends knew that. Then, one day, one of them told me about this Blogging and getting paid thru blog ads and still makes money in the comfort of my home. At first I was skeptical about it, then I said to myself , there is no harm in trying, so I tried and here I am now doing this and is enjoying blogging and doing blog ads at the same time . I used to work because it helps me earn money and most of all enjoy doing it. I would recommend everyone to used Pay per Post; it is so reliable, very helpful and family friendly company. I am glad I did sign up!
