After the busy start of the week, I am now sick; I hate it when I am sick because I couldn't do anything I need to be doing instead of laying on bed. The Texas State Fair went well yesterday; the weather was perfect! We had so much fun! Will post some photos later. By the way, thanks again for your visits, will visit you back as soon as I feel better and the flu is gone :-(. Have a nice day everyone!

Give Something Healthy This Halloween!

Posted by Cecile at Monday, September 28, 2009 2 comments

Can you believe it? Halloween is just around the corner; it seems like yesterday when my son and I went trick or treating in the neighborhood and attended a Halloween Party where we had the trunk or treat at church. We are now excited for it. My son decided to be a Pirate this year and couldn’t wait to go trick or treating again. I am now thinking about candy my son's will get and candy I am going to give to the kids. I am pretty sure there are healthier alternative for unhealthy candies loaded with sugar. Thank goodness, there is a website called Trick Or Treat Me that aims not only to provide good nutritious alternatives to keep your kids healthy but also the environmentally healthy. It is also a great website and a resource for parents to be used for a healthy living. This site can also provide you with some great trick or treat ideas you can use. I like that you can choose whether your friends deserve to be treated or tricked – all the while supporting World Wildlife Fund. Participate in this all-around great campaign and share it with your family and friends. Isn’t it a good feeling knowing that Tetra Pack will makes a $.10 donation to the World Wildlife Fund for every trick or treat you send out (up to $30,000). Trick or Treat Me also supports handing out boxes of chocolate milk, Hersheys or Organic Valley, for Halloween. To learn more about this campaign, check out Trick Or Treat Me on Twitter and send tweets which count towards a $.10 donation. And be the scariest Twitterer this Halloween.

Words cannot express how much I feel for you and you knew it with what I do than what I say. I Love You!

Posted by Cecile at Wednesday, September 16, 2009 13 comments

My first time to join Niko's Meme...and I am excited. This is Fun!
For this week’s theme of Girls Talk we have to answer this simple question...

Why you love being a girl?

Here's my entry...

1. I love being me... a Mom ( who loves unconditionally).
2. Being a friend and confidant (friends put their trust in me for I can keep secrets).
3. Despite on my mood swings (blame it on monthly PMS), I am loved, understood and forgiven by the Man of my life always.
4. Being pampered by my husband with everything that makes me happy.
5. Being a patient me...and because of it, God always blesses me with what I need (health, family, and happiness).
6. I can nag my husband...that is one way I get what I want!
7. I can melt hubby's heart when I cry...he cries, too!

Almost Late!

Posted by Cecile at Friday, September 11, 2009 9 comments
I stayed up late last night finishing tasks and visiting a little with my friends on the blogland. The result, my son and I got up late this morning. We jumped out of bed in a hurry for we only have few minutes to prepare, eat breakfast before going to school. Good thing I already prepared his lunch last night. Hubby drove us to school when he came home from a night shift work this morning. We got there on time, thank goodness! Anyway, I am so proud of my son who never complains getting up early in the morning for school. He is always excited and happy when we talk about his school and the new friends he met there. He never cease to amaze me everyday with his work done at school and his energy as well.

Calling all those who are football fanatics! I have good news for you. Sony Twilight Football has a big event comes this month. You should check the video below where a group of men playing soccer in an arena with a bull. I found the video very interesting; though the camera they used has no light at all, yet the images stay bright and sharp even when they run into the dark shadows. Amazing, isn't it? Anyway, Sony Twilight Football is a global event which takes place on 22nd September 2009. 7 twilight matches will be taking place at stunning, specially chosen locations in: Italy, France, the UK, Spain, Argentina and Australia, with the Twilight Football grand final happening in South Africa, the host for the 2010 FIFA World Cup TM. These locations have breathtaking views where you can see waterfalls, lush vegetation, deserts, castles and mountains and glaciers. A perfect setting for both players and photographers alike.

One Down, Three More to Go!

Posted by Cecile at Wednesday, September 09, 2009 3 comments
Got up early today to prepare myself and my son for school and hospital. I am glad my son didn't give me hard time for his morning shower and breakfast. That means he is getting use to his daily routine before going to school. Anyway, another day of iron infusion is over, whew!.. three more to go :-). Hope everything went well will the lab work this morning. Sandy should be calling any minute now for the results; one thing I didn't like is that I gained extra pounds! I better start working out again otherwise there will be no changes will happen with my health issue. Diet and medicine alone is not enough!
