Layaway for the Holidays

Posted by Cecile at Sunday, November 23, 2008 0 comments
Christmas is just around the corner and some people might be done shopping for the holidays and others are just waiting to shop after Thanksgiving. I wished I have done shopping now; but that doesn’t happen for so many reasons. I am done shopping gifts at least for my family back home ready to be shipped. As for my in-laws and friends, that is still a shopping on the way. With the looming economy, am sure most people wouldn’t be able to shop for money is very tight. Some probably counts for their paychecks before Holiday before they will shop for presents. But there is a worry that whatever you want wouldn’t be available anymore when it is time for you to shop. Good news for you, there is a way where you can pick items out and make sure they are still there in time Christmas and that is through Kmart Layaway for the Holidays. The process is very simple and easy; you just need to pick items up you want and put them in layaway. Want to save even more? There is a link provided for a coupon to be printed and take it with you at the store to save $5 off with a purchase of $50 or more. It is like getting your layaway free; with the use of coupon worth $5. The layaway is over eight weeks and you pay 25% of the balance every two weeks; and once you are done paying the items, then you can take items with you. When shopping there are things you can not put on layaway and these are the following: beer, wine, cigarettes, flammable products, live plants, chemicals, gas additives and more. Just visit their website for more products you can not put on layaway. The thing you need to keep in mind, no new layaways will be accepted between December 12, 2008 and January 2, 2009. So you better put items on a layaway now for holidays. One more thing that I like is that if you see something that you want to get and you didn’t get it this year, you can lay it away for yourself for next year’s holidays. Isn’t Kmart cool?

Black Friday Comes Early This Year!

Posted by Cecile at Tuesday, November 18, 2008 0 comments
I was online early today and read this article on YahooNews and thought you guys, might want to know which stores are having early sales this year. Here you can read it and what products they have special discount; they statrted as early as the 8th of this month, November.

These are tough economic times, so retailers are launching their Black Friday specials weeks early to motivate budget-conscious buyers. You can normally find the latest Black Friday ads on sites like BlackFriday.info, Bargainist.com, DealTaker.com, BFads.net, and TheBlackfriday.com, so check those out before you go shopping this weekend, because it looks like retailers are slashing prices early this year.

Here's a list of sales happening right now, just to give you an idea:
Walmart: Starting November 8th, Walmart will have in-store specials starting at 8 am. The retailer will be selling several 15.4-inch Compaq CQ50-139WM laptops for $298, Sony's 2GB Walkman player for $49, Samsung's S760 point-and-shoot digital camera in red for $89, a 46-inch Sanyo 1080p LCD HDTV for $798. Check out the flyer here.

Best Buy will also be marking down the eMachines laptop (eMD620-5777) for $299 according to BFAds.net. The laptop includes a 14.1-inch screen, 1GB DDR2, 160GB hard drive, Windows Vista, and AMD Athlon 2650e processor. The site has a side-by-side comparison of this laptop versus the Compaq notebook being sold at Walmart.

Kmart is offering the 32-inch Sylvania LCD HDTV for $440 and the Wii Fit for $90, according to I4U, and Sears has a lot of sales in the electronics department too, so check those out. Circuit City will be closing some stores this quarter, so it may be running lots of promotions off and online too. Engadget HD found this Sony Blu-ray player for $177 on its website, so you might want to look around between now and Black Friday for more savings.

Mr. Bluelight!

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, November 13, 2008 0 comments
Have you been to Kmart lately? If not so, you better go. You wouldn’t believe the stuff you will see in there that you will get for the Holiday. I love to shop, I tell you and when I went online gone crazy for the things I saw in there. What great thing about Kmart is they have this Kmart Layaway program where you can choose the item you like most, then bring it to the layaway counter and pay and lastly, pay it every two weeks and then when you’re done paying it for eight weeks, you can finally take it home with you. This is really a great help especially if you can not afford to pay the items in full right away. Isn’t it great or what? You can always get whatever you want for Christmas at Kmart, from jewelries, baby furnitures, toys, bicycles, clothes, electronic appliances, Christmas lights and ornamets and more. I will definitely get a cashmere sweater this time for it is my wish to get one for myself. I remember Mr. Bluelight character and when I see him, it reminds me of the Christmas tree we purchase last year there, it was so pretty and and the price was unbeatable. All their christmas ornaments and decorations were on sale that time, so we bought all the ornaments we needed for the new christmas tree we have. We really enjoyed it last year.
