Mommy Moments: Jake's Bag and School Day

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, July 08, 2010 13 comments
Since I have missed last week's MM, I decided to post 2 in 1 today/this week :-) This post includes: School Day and Kids and Bag/Purse.

mommy moments

This week at Mommy Moments is all about school days. Unlike in the Philippines, school here has just ended last month, and it won't starts till the third week of August which is fall/autumn. I had taken many pictures of my son during school days, but I chose to attach photos of the books we are using this summer in preparing my son for his first grade class. This method has helped him a lot before he entered Kinder last year...and sure will do again this school year. Anyway, my son and I set aside an hour a day teaching him how to write, read, learn phonics, vocabulary, spelling, language arts, math skills, sequencing and sorting, shapes and measurement, time and money, science, and social studies. He is a smart little guy and a fast learner, too...so this should be like a piece of cake to him :-).

Jake's backpack and lunch bag he used a school and is using wherever we goes out...they are still in good condition; I might not buy him new one for this school year....we'll see :-). By the way, these are his gifts from his last year's birthday.

He wanted a new one though...when he saw new toy story lunch bag and backpack at Walmart today :-).

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of FriendGiftr. All opinions are 100% mine.

Finding a gift for someone who has everything can be difficult at times. For instance, my in- laws are simple people who has everything they need and want, not to mention that they are not really into expensive gifts. Even hubby don't even know what to give them anymore, especially on special occasions like wedding anniversary and birthdays. Since their wedding anniversary is coming up very soon, hubby and I decided to give them gift card from FriendGiftr. FriendGiftr is a site that allows you to to buy and send real digital and/or physical gift cards to friends, family, and associates for the holidays, birthdays, other special occasions, or anytime. There you can select from over 120 of their favorite retail and restaurant gift cards to buy $10, $20, $25, $35, $50, $75, and $100 gift cards. The best thing about FriendGiftr is that the receivers are empowered to get what they really want –they can exchange the gift card given to them from their friends or family for any of the 120 merchants Friendgiftr offers for no additional cost and without the buyer knowing. They can also split the gift card across multiple merchants, enabling the ultimate user choice and control. Yоu саn аlsо split gift саrds асrоss multiplе mеrсhаnts. Office Chair over Workbench

Posted by Cecile at Thursday, July 01, 2010 2 comments
The other day, we went to Harbor Freight to buy hubby's gift for Father's Day; while there, all of a sudden he changed his mind and decided to replace the chair he uses when working in front of the computer. So the workbench is out of the picture now. He doesn't want it anymore. Well, I told him whatever he wants, he can get it...it's not my gift anyway :-). We went to IKEA next and got him an office chair! As planned, we also purchased the china cabinet that matches our dinette. We Have assembled it the other night and we were both happy about it. Now, our little dining room is complete :-).
